Gerald H. Jaggers
Jerry Jaggers entered the practice of law following his admission to
the Bar of the State of Colorado in May, 1973. After growing up in
the South, Mr. Jaggers graduated from Trinity College of Hartford,
Connecticut, in 1967. While serving four years as a USAF officer
at Lowry Air Force Base in Denver, Mr. Jaggers completed law school,
graduating from the University of Denver College of Law in December,
1972.
Following admission to the Bar, Mr. Jaggers became a trade regulation
attorney with the Federal Trade Commission. During his tenure with
the FTC from 1973 to 1981, he was the lead attorney on three major cases
noteworthy for the precedent set or remedy obtained. Mr. Jaggers
left the FTC for private practice in 1981, joining a 10 member firm in
Boulder, Colorado, first as an associate and then as a partner.
On January 1, 1985, Mr. Jaggers moved his practice to his home town of
Arvada, Colorado and entered into an office sharing arrangement with
David DiGiacomo. On May 1, 1989, they converted that relationship
into the partnership which has become DiGiacomo, Jaggers, & Perko, LLP.
Since moving to Arvada in 1975, Mr. Jaggers has been active in many
community activities. He became a member of the Chamber of
Commerce, chairing the Community Service Committee and organizing an
essay contest for young people. In 1986, Mr. Jaggers became a
member of the Arvada Jefferson Kiwanis Club. He was an officer of
the Club for four years and was its President in 1996-97.
For ten years, Mr. Jaggers has served as a board member of the Board of
Directors of the Martin Luther Home Society or its Foundation. The
Society, which was headquartered in Lincoln, Nebraska, provided services
in several states from California to Delaware to people with
developmental disabilities and other special needs. Mr. Jaggers is
an active member of Cross of Christ Lutheran Church and served for ten
years on the Rocky Mountain Regional Council of the Lutheran Church
(ELCA).
Mr. Jaggers major areas of practice include business formation and
planning, real estate, wills, estate planning and probate and civil
litigation.
Mr Jaggers wife of 40 years is a retired school teacher, and they have
two children and several grandchildren.
